Implementation Services (PeopleSoft Pension Administration)

It may sound as if we are making too big a deal out of your chosen PSPA implementation consultant having years of implementation experience with the PeopleSoft Pension Administration module, but we cannot fail to express the importance of this fact. Specific PSPA experience is required in order for you to obtain the results you desire.

PSPension has the experience and know how when it comes to the PeopleSoft Pension Administration module. Paul Gathard has implemented the module for various clients and the number of individual plans exceed 200 defined benefit, cash balance and contributory plans.

How could any consulting firm do an adequate fit/gap analysis if they do not know the PSPA module? How could any consulting firm do an adequate job of staffing a PSPA project based upon the requirements they may have appropriately recorded?

How can you know if proposed customizations and add on processes are really needed if the consulting firm has little or no experience with the PSPA module?

How can you have any confidence in the ability of any consulting firm to contract an adequate PSPA implementation consultant, if they them self have little understanding of what is required of the position?

There are many more questions that arise when considering who is best to implement the most difficult PeopleSoft module. Yet, there are few qualified to implement the PSPA module with any degree of expertise.

PSPension has the experience to implement any DB, Cash Balance, or Contributory pension plan. Paul Gathard has even worked to build custom consolidation processing for state and local governments where earnings, hours, and contributions had to be consolidated and data distributed to a new accounting system, two legacy systems, a new contributory third party investment firm and do so along with data being retained within the PeopleSoft HRMS, Base Benefit, and Pension Administration modules. Custom applications are sometimes required when no other delivered functionality will fill the bill.

PSPension implementation services include every analysis and process required to bring the application live on time and under budget. We start with adapting our implementation methodology to that of the HRMS and or Payroll implementation team. We perfect the fit/gap and requirements phase allowing only for additional bolt-on tables if required and if the delivered package cannot be easily adapted for a custom process, we create a custom process that is not considered a customization of the delivered application.

PSPension conducts unit, system, integration, migration, regression, and user acceptance testing with a passion. Pension administrations systems do not keep themselves error free. Every time any change is made to the PSPA or related system regression tests must be run again and again assuring the accuracy of the pension calculations.

PSPension starts training users as they help configure and test the PSPA application. It is our belief that knowledge transfer should include the ability of some member of the end-user group to be able to adjust, change and even add an additional plan if so required. Training continues through production support as we teach end-users how to diagnose calculation errors and know how to resolve the issue themselves and when to call for help.
